Felicia R. Glidden (b. 1966, Minneapolis, MN) is an American sculptor, video artist, and installation artist working at the intersection of memory, material, and loss.
Her practice centres on found and discarded materials — Kodachrome slide film, cast iron, plastic, newspaper — objects that carry the residue of other lives. From these she builds sculptures and installations that ask how memory accumulates, distorts, and survives: quilted from fragments, cast in iron, stitched through glass.
She holds a BFA in Photography and Art History from the University of Minnesota Duluth (1990) and an MFA in Sculpture and Video from the University of Maryland, College Park (2012). Her work was included in the 2017 Whitney Biennial as part of the Occupy Museums Debtfair project. She has exhibited throughout the United States and in Germany, France, Wales, and the United Kingdom, including at Project ARTspace New York and Lachenmann Art Konstanz.
From 2015 to 2025, she and musician Alain Wozniak co-directed ProjekTraum FN, an independent project space in Manzell, Friedrichshafen, which hosted over twenty international artists across a decade of exhibitions, residencies, and collaborations.
She is currently developing a new studio and artist residency in an 1850 mill and house in Étauliers, Gironde, France — a continuation of ProjekTraum FN’s commitment to independent, artist-led space.
